About Matt

Matt Rice is a unique blend of youth/campus minister, and IT geek. He maintains his technical expertise through many freelance projects, while remaining faithful to his call to serve youth and young adults.

Matt is currently serving as the webmaster of 6 websites for Catholic Theological Union and ministering with youth through Peacebuilders Initiative and his ministry practicum at St. Joseph Parish-Shrine in the Chicago "Back of the Yards" neighborhood.

Matt has been married to Weslei for 6 years and they have two wonderful young boys, Levi (4) and Asher(2). They will soon be returning to their home state of Texas, much to the pleasure of the grandparents.

Matt has a deep commitment to youth and young adult ministry. He believes, as Cardinal Bernardin did, that youth are "a part of the church here and now", and they have a contribution to make. Matt has dedicated much of his, admittedly young, life to walking with youth and young adults as they make their much needed contributions.
